She's the former Daily Show correspondent who's making a splash with a role in I Don't Know How She Does It with Sarah Jessica Parker.

Q: What was it like working with Sarah Jessica Parker on the movie? - A Grinshpan
A: You know, my favorite experience, and no one has actually asked me this question I’ve actually been waiting to say, because there’s a scene in this movie where, and it’s in the trailers a lot, you can see it, where we go into the elevator and she’s bringing all these balloons and then I pop a balloon. You know, you can’t really orchestrate that. So, when you’re looking at this, it’s a fake set. It’s not a real elevator. You see the elevator and then you see pieces of the wall and then there’s two men on the side that push the elevator doors together. Sarah’s got things to say. She’s carrying all these balloons and a cake and I walk in the elevator, then she’s gotta come in and drag all the balloons in and then I’ve got to pop a balloon and then the doors close. It’s hard to orchestrate all that. Lines…all this stuff. So, we kept doing it over and over and finally, we got it down. Everything, the timing, everything, down. The doors shut, and we were like, “Yes!” and then we noticed one balloon was sticking out. One balloon. And Sarah and I look at each other and we look up, and she just looks at me and goes, “Pull it.” And me, I just grabbed it and pulled it down and that way, it looked like the elevator was moving. So, that was my favorite moment because when you look at it in the movie, it’s all just for the comedy of it, to entertain you guys, so it’s a very big physical piece. It took all those little elements of it in just that one moment it was me and Sarah where she just says, “Pull it” and I grab it. When you see the clip, you can see that one balloon and it’s only one take, ‘cause it can only really happen once.
Q: Do you think women can have it all, a relationship, a career, and a family? - A Grinshpan
A: I’ve struggled…with this career and how much do you spend on one, and then when do you spend time on your family life and personal life? Because, I think, my mother, my aunts, I look at them and they went to university and they got the degrees and then they had to become housewives and mothers. Some people just want to do that which is amazing and great, but I think, as to be a complete woman, you have to be able to have other passions, you do. Even if it’s not pursuing a huge career or a small career, whatever it is, just have to have something else, a hobby or anything. I think, my generation when we look at mothers and our aunts, and they didn’t really get a choice, so we are trying to be like, “Well, you couldn’t do that, so I’ll follow my dreams, because you couldn’t.” The problem with that is that you make no room for life to happen. Like my character in the movie, she has this specific goal and what happens is life happens to you whether or not you’re ready for it or not.
Q: Since your first book was so successful, have you ever thought about writing your own screenplay? - CandaceWatkins
A: Well, I’m really excited to be doing the projects I’m doing, ‘cause I have the new [inaudible] for HBO just got picked up and I still have the Soderburg movie, Magic Mike, in a couple of days, and also The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, so those things keep me really busy, but I am going to be writing very soon…some stuff. I’m really focusing all of my energy on my time machine. It’s really hard. The thing is the parts are in the future, which makes it hard, because I don’t have the time machine to get to the future to get the parts, but all of my focus is really on that. So, I can’t really worry about the other stuff right now.
