Avatar star Sam Worthington, 34, has recently split from his girlfriend of nearly three years, fashion stylist Natalie Mark.

"It's been in the cards for awhile," a source close to the couple told Australia's Herald Sun. Worthington and Mark have not been seen in public together since October 2010, when they attended a basketball game at Madison Square Gardens in New York.

It seems that bachelorhood isn't suiting the action star so well. Worthington has been publicly displaying aggressive behavior since the split. Eyewitnesses at an Australian Day event in Los Angeles saw the action star lash out at the event's organizers when they asked him to wait before walking the red carpet. In response, he began swearing and punched a photo wall.

Maybe he's just gearing up for his next role, Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to Clash of the Titans, in which he will reprise is 2010 role as Perseus. —KIMBERLY STEELE
