Jessica Simpson's love life has been well-documented in the press. From early days as a teen pop star, to the MTV reality series about her marriage with boy band singer Nick Lachey, to overshare-prone songwriter John Mayer to football player Tony Romo, nearly all of Simpson's triumphs and failures in the romantic arena have been faithfully recorded. Now, Simpson, 30, turns to a new medium to express her happiness over her latest boyfriend, former football player Eric Johnson, 31. 

Tweeting from her account on Sunday morning, Simpson said, "I met a wonderful man! Damn I'm lucky!" also posting a picture of the couple together alongside the tweet. This is not the first time ex-NFL tight end Johnson, who started dated Simpson few months ago, has made an appearance on her Twitter. In July, she posted a picture of the two kissing, with the accompanying text, "“Romance 101..getting kissed by my Yalie…me not lookin’ so smart…:) but YUM!” 

Johnson, who has dropped plans to attend University of Pennsylvania's Wharton business school to stay in L.A., played football for the San Francisco 49ers. Simpson is preparing for the next season of her VH1 show The Price of Beauty, which follows her across the world as she explores the different cultures of beauty and grooming. —AMY LEE
