Brittany Murphy's Husband Died From Same Causes
07/22/2010
The cause of death for Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, has been revealed to be eerily similar to his wife's. The coroner's office confirmed Wednesday that Monjack died from acute pneumonia and severe anemia on May 23, the same afflictions Murphy suffered last winter. Some prescription drugs were also found in Monjack's system just like his late wife at the time of her death, but not at lethal levels.
"I am still in shock and mourning over the deaths of my daughter Brittany and son-in-law Simon," Murphy's mother Sharon said in a statement to TMZ. “It is with great relief that Simon’s preliminary autopsy findings have been released, so the media speculations can stop. As I was sure of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose.” Murphy's death was ruled an accident.
Monjack was buried next to his wife at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on May 27. Another test is expected to be conducted before the full autopsy report is released. – Natthakan Garunrangseewong
