'Avatar' Defeats The 'Frog'

Despite East Coast snow storms and a nearly 3 hour run-time, James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar, starring Sam Worthington, left, soundly defeated all the competition at the weekend box office earning $73 million, the largest debut ever for a 3-D film.
