'Avatar' Breaks DVD Release Record

Avatar has become the fastest-selling DVD release of all time in North America, selling 6.7 million DVDs and Blu-rays in four days. It was also the fastest-selling release on Blu-ray ever in North America. The previous record holder in the US and Canada was The Dark Knight.
The movie, which cost $300 million to produce, has taken in nearly $2 billion worldwide. The James Cameron film will be re-released this summer with an extra six minutes of footage, which will show what life around the ocean of Pandora is like.
